ACET is committed to building capacity in the research fields in which it is active. One of the ways in which this will be achieved is by taking on high calibre masters and doctoral (PhD) students at each of the partner institutions. Students will work closely with ACET’s project researchers, thus contributing to the aims of ACET and the FUT programme as a whole.
To further its commitment to capacity building, ACET has undertaken to provide financial support to prospective postgraduate students. Since the main purpose of ACET is to contribute towards public and non-motorised transport solutions in African cities, applications are expected primarily from students with previous qualifications in engineering, planning and social science, or who are currently working in these fields. However, as ACET is a multidisciplinary centre, applicants with a range of backgrounds will be considered.
Prospective students are invited to contact any of the ACET Partners for more information relating to academic application procedures and financial support. For general enquiries about postrgraduate opportunities within ACET you can also contact the ACET Secretariat.
